Comply with the terms of standards, guidelines and recommendations set forth in the animal and plant quarantine agreements concluded by Mongolia with foreign countries and the treaties and conventions to which Mongolia is a party to.

Quarantine inspections and tests on animals, plants, raw materials, products, their railings, mats, containers, packaging and vehicles at border crossings and inland customs control areas

In case of detection of highly contagious animal diseases and plant quarantine items on the way through the territory of Mongolia, the State Professional Inspection Agency shall immediately notify the importing and exporting state inspection authorities and shall prohibit of entry, detain, distroy, or/and treat, sterilize and disinfect the animals, plants, raw materials and products.

NOTE
1. It shall be prohibited to allow animals, plants, raw materials and products to cross the state border in the following cases:
- The requirements specified in the Law have not been met
- It was established during the inspection that the information not included in the quarantine inspection or inspection was inconsistent or the information in the certificate was inconsistent or the accompanying documents were forged.
2. The state inspector shall detain animals, plants, insects, raw materials and products that have been found to be damaged during the quarantine control and inspection at the state border for up to 21 days and hand over the notification to the responsible citizen or legal entity.
3. Animals, plants, raw materials and products shall be destroyed if the following circumstances arise during the quarantine inspection:
- Refused to accept animals, plants, raw materials and products upon notification to the competent authority of the border port of the exporting country to Mongolia
- The animal has been diagnosed with a highly contagious disease
- Foreign quarantine of the plant, raw material or product has been detected
- It has been determined that damage to raw materials and products were caused due to violation of storage and transportation conditions and may result in causing harm to human and animal health.
- The level of chemical, biological and radiation pollution caused by raw materials and products exceeds the level allowed by international standards
4.Under the supervision of the state inspector, professional organizations and specialists shall perform treatment, disinfection and disinfection on the following items:
- An animal that has been diagnosed with an infectious disease other than an acute animal infection and has responded positively
- Plants, raw materials and products where internal quarantine of plants has been detected
- Railings, equipment, hay, fodder residues, mats, packaging, sealants and similar items used for transportation of animals, plants, raw materials and products
- Vehicles, containers and other similar items loaded with animals, plants, raw materials and products
- Soils, buildings and structures of buildings, warehouses, areas and areas where animals, plants, raw materials and products
