Process Steps

Step1

Electronic cargo manifest shall be submitted to customs, if declaration is with 840 code. Declarant / transporter declaring 841 code submits cargo manifest and other necessary documents to customs

Step2

The Customs reviews and registers all documents.

Step3

For goods cleared under code 841 for international transit, the first clearance customs office shall stamp the check mark “Under customs control” on the consignment manifest, and the final clearance customs office shall stamp the check mark “Approved by Customs of Mongolia” and confirm it with a personal identification number.

Step4

This regime will be terminated when goods passed the state border or placed in goods in another regime

NOTE:

  1. Goods declared under this regime should be only foreign products.
  2. Goods has to be transported by approved carrier of the customs.
  3. This regime is not allowed to international carriers with TIR carnet.
  4. Customs shall write in every time when goods are loaded into another vehicle.

Customs clearance regime of international transit goodsPermit RequirementCustoms General AdministrationForeign transit goods which are transporting through the customs territory from the consignor abroad to the consignee abroad shall be declared under this regime. For goods cleared under code 841 for international transit, the first clearance customs office shall stamp the check mark “Under customs control” on the consignment manifest, and the final clearance customs office shall stamp the check mark “Approved by Customs of Mongolia” and confirm it with a personal identification number. This customs clearance regime is approved by Annex 1 to Resolution #679 of the Chairman of the Customs General Administration of 2008 based on Article 79.7 of Law on Customs. Note: - Goods to be declared under this regime should be goods transporting through customs territory from consignor in abroad to consignee in abroad. - Declarant /transporter/ should use 840 code for goods that not need to be loaded into another vehicle in the customs territory or 841 code for goods that will be loaded to another vehicle in the customs territory. - Customs will not levy customs tariffs and duties.Procedure for implementation of customs clearance procedure for transit of goods between countries 09-09-9999Good
